A soft measuring tape is the most accurate tool for measuring yourself at home. If you don’t have one, you can measure yourself a piece of string (make sure it’s not stretchy) and then measure the string with a ruler or builder's tape measure.
For accurate measurements, the tape should be snug but not uncomfortably tight. Try taking a deep breath, sitting down and standing back up to check that the tape isn’t constricting you as you move and breathe — This ensures that clothing of that size won't be too tight.
| BustThe bust measurement refers to the broadest part of your chest. it’s best to keep your bra on for the measurement unless you are specifically shopping for a bra or a garment you’ll wear braless. To measure, lift your arms and wrap the tape under your armpits straight across both nipples. |
WaistWaist refers to your natural waist, which is not at your belly button. To find your natural waist, stand straight up and bend side to side, finding where your body creases. At this point, wrap the measuring tape straight across. It is the smallest point for many, but it may not be!
HipsThe hips are another tricky measurement, as many think their hip measurement is at your hip bones, but that’s not true: Your hip measurement is across your bottom at your widest point. For an accurate measurement, ensure your feet are straight below your hips and not sprawled apart. Remember to sit down and stand up while taking your hip measurements to ensure you're not pulling the tape too tight. This will prevent that all too common issue where pants fit perfectly when standing up, but as soon as you sit down, they dig in and are uncomfortable. |

"I love this top. Super comfortable and looks good with jeans or linen pants. The colour is just right for our spring climate in perth. Kathryn"

"I ordered size 8 in this and a Melbourne crew. This Billie block stripe crew was a lot smaller so I exchanged for a size 10. It was exchanged quickly ,but the white stripe is off white not a pure white like the size 8 was. If I put it alongside my white tops, the stripe is definately NOT white. I kept it as I was going away and wanted to wear it on my flight. Have always been happy with all previous Elm purchases. Just the sizing and colour of this particular top 😌"

"Love this top."

"This top runs small. I have exchanged it once for a larger size (16) but it is still a little small. Carnt be bothered sending it back, will give it away. Very disappointed I have found the Elm sizes are not as consistent as they used to be. I have shopped for several years. The top is a lovely colour."

"This has to be one of my favourite jumpers so far. Each time I wear I get a positive comment. It's comfortable to wear, fits well, and washes up well."
— TOSCA M. (5/5)
"Very nice top. A slightly smaller fit than other Elm sweatshirts I already have, but is still a good fit."
